Personal Training is an excellent opportunity to stay injury-free and improve your performance with the support of a trained specialist. I believe that exercise is not just about moving, but about moving well, pain-free and efficiently.  Once underlying issues are addressed, exercise can be performed safely and properly, all with the goal of preventing injury while becoming more fit and having fun.

 

My Training Practice

As a medical health professional and not just a personal trainer, I feel it is imperative to start each client with a complete medical history and personalized Functional Movement Screen to determine if there are any muscle imbalances, joint restrictions and/or pain, with what are known as “basic human movement patterns.” If any pain or imbalances are found within any of these movement patterns, I also perform a full orthopedic and more detailed biomechanical assessment, including specific muscle and neurological testing to determine the root cause of the issue and to rule out any underlying concerns. I then utilize this information to produce a personal report just for you, which includes my findings, diagnosis(es), an individualized treatment program and plan of management, tailored to achieve your unique goals.

  • I offer online exercise rehabilitation and personal training programs, in addition to virtual health and fitness consulting, for you to perform in the safety of your own space! Training programs can be solely exercise and/or injury rehab focussed, or by request, I can also incorporate nutritional / meal plans.

    If you have a home gym or access to a full service gym that allows you to bring your own trainer, I can provide in person, one-on-one personal training and/or rehab sessions (location dependant). My Oakville clinic location also has a small rehab space where we can work one-on-one together in person. Lots of great options!
